Experience the best views in the region at Tallis Wine Cellar Door, open Friday to Sunday or by appointment during the week.
Tallis Wines are distinctive, views spectacular and hospitality warm. Spend the day and enjoy a glass of wine, cold beer and a tasting platter in front of the cosy fire or alfresco on warmer days. Book the barbecue or a picnic site then take a stroll along the scenic walking track with 360 degree hilltop views.
The new cellar door is located in the rich red Dookie Hills on the north eastern edge of Central Victoria, a region which was once at the forefront of Victoria's wine industry. This family owned business is committed to producing 100 per cent estate grown, quality wines reflecting the unique Dookie terroir, warm climate and distinctive ancient red hills. These hills are similar to the Cambrian soils for which Heathcote is renowned.
The Tallis family has been part of the Dookie district for many years running traditional farming enterprises. Their wine journey began during 1998 and they now have 24 hectares of vines including shiraz, viognier, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and sangiovese.
Visitors to the Tallis Wine Cellar Door can revel in the beautiful ever-changing seasonal landscape of the Dookie countryside, enjoy the full range of current release Tallis Wine on tasting and perhaps even savour a regional tasting platter. This is rewarding haven for wine lovers to sit on their deck, sip, sample and enjoy the view. Bring your friends and let them share in the secret of Tallis Wine.
Join the Tallisman club to be kept informed of free events, live music, tastings with the winemaker and wine education sessions.
