They say pictures tell a thousand words. Visitors to this exhibition will be moved by the authentic stories told by the over 200 personal photos dating 1949 to 1967, the years in which this migrant camp operated.
Photos were contributed by the original migrant families or their descendants who have stayed involved in the development of this exhibition and are often present during open days.
The exhibition is housed in one of the original accommodation huts still located at Benalla Airport - and features the migrant camp school enrolment book, lots of old group photos, information about the families as well as as precious items and documents.
