The Horseshoe Rim 4WD Adventure Track is a self-drive exciting and scenic track that goes around the southern end of the Horseshoe Range.
The highlight is the challenging pull up to Mount Stokes – the highest point in the range.
From there you can see a magnificent view of the length of the Flinders Ranges – from Mount Remarkable in the south to Wilpena Pound in the north.
The track takes approximately three and a half hours to complete – depending on photo and lunch stops. The track is suitable for experienced four wheel drivers in vehicles with high clearance and low range capability as there are some tricky sections!
The Horseshoe Range is described as a mini Wilpena pound and is located between Quorn and Carrieton.
