About Namoi Echo Museum

The Namoi Echo Museum, Wee Waa is not to be missed when visiting Wee Waa. The Museum and Schwager Cottage allow you to step back in time, right in the heart of Cotton Country. Located on Rose Street, the museum is just a short walk from the main shopping area of Wee Waa. A cotton picker, old tractors, a crop duster, Blacksmith shop, a restored children's Merry-Go-Round, Aboriginal artefacts, School house and Saw Millers cottage are on display. Wee Waa was first inhabited by the Kamilaroi Aboriginal tribe, and was settled in the late 1830s by Europeans. It is known as the oldest town on the Namoi River. Market stalls are also held in the grounds of the museum on a regular basis. You could spend hours roaming through the Museum or sit an enjoy a cup of tea and a chat. Entry fees apply. Coach groups welcome.
